wow......i still dont hav any idea of what to choose........mago mago wit cute kids n adorable grandparents...or D n G no arashi wit a no arashi inside.............hmmmmmm...i ended up voting 4 D no arashi.......dont ask why.......i just clicked it........to me arashi's shows are like ligths...they make u laugh .. they make u cry....they make u feel humble...they teach u about baka-experiments...its all together...but its quite sad when arashi no shukudaikun 's ratings are dropping...it went up...then came down....i wonder why....
Mago Mago Arashi is my fav for various reasons.
But mainly i like it because it has the guys doing all sorts of things and its not as restricted as Shukudaikun.
And the Totsugeki's are the best when they make dinner for the children

I totally agree with you..hehehe and my fav is Sakuraiba pairing
I voted for G no Arashi. I'm not a fan of Japanese variety shows, but I can rewatch G (and D) episodes and still find them really entertaining. They also seem so natural around each other.. it's fun to watch. Especially Aiba. Oh Aiba...
I do try to catch up with MMA because grandparents/kodomo no bangohan segments are funny and touching.
I can't really sit through Shukudaikun, even if it is Arashi. At times, it gets painful to watch. Just not my taste, I suppose..

Just curious, what makes Arashi no Shukudaikun more restricted?

That's probably because since the focus is on the guest - not the segments~
Like they can converse freely and there's lots of moving around on the Mago Mago episodes while on Shukudaikun it's in front of a live audience and they have to pay attention to the guest.
i voted D no Arashi, but i was really surpriced that nobdy has chosen nama arashi! it was such a fun tvshow!
i´ve got a question.... have you ever watched USO?! Japan, the ep. where Aiba is in a dark room with a radio at 77.5 frequency and ohno is in the other room with the staff? do you know the date of that ep, or where can i find it?
thanks!

Uhm. I have a question...
Someone asked this on page 1 or 2 of this thread, but no one answered the question, I think.
What exactly is the difference between all these Arashi shows?
I'm still confused as to what particularly makes up MMA or D/G no Arashi or Shukudai, Waza-ari and whatnot.
Could someone explain? =D
i wanted to vote for shukudai-kun but it wasn't in the choices... i really love it when they have interesting guests and when they do food tasting... makes me hungry.
i voted for g no arashi because i like the baka stuff they've done in that show.

The difference is what they do in each show.
Mago Mago: Mago means grandchild so they become grandchildren for the day to grandparents which alternate with segments of cooking dinner for children while the parents go out and running around Japan using old maps against guests.
G no Arashi: G could stand for GAMBATTE which means try your best, so they would receive letters asking for help in a certain area and Arashi will pick one to help.
D no Arashi: The D stood for documentary so it was pretty much everything goes. At first they just ran around accompanying people in whatever the topic was. For example, there was a heavy man called Meguro-san and they just documented how he did things or accompany him with things he wanted to do. And another time when Jun accompanied a child to the dentist. XD Later on it became 2 vs 2 on who could come up with an interesting documentary type thing.
Shukudaikun: They have a guest who wants to know more about a certain thing and weeks before they ask people to send in answers. A question could be like, "What's the best gyoza you've had?" and people would send in recipes, recommendations, etc. Then they choose answers and present it to the guest. They also have people guessing what the guest was doing that night, and other random segments.
Waza-ari: There's also a guest that accompany two members around town. I think somewhere, someone mentioned that the guest teaches them how to be an adult? XD
I'll elaborate when I figure it out myself XD
Hope this helped though!
