I like Take me Far Away ('cause of Ohno's sexy voice) and Blue best as ballads. But I prefer upbeat songs, ballads tend to sound so cheesy, not just Arashi's ballads, but ballads in general. And ballads can sometimes make me feel a bit sad, so I rather listen to happy songs that make me feel energentic.

"Be With You" is one-of-a-kind ballad. In fact I never heard of them sing this type of crooning song until I happen to come across it in Time Kotoba no Chikara DVD. Nino's "Yume" and "Niji" are the best, too. So is Jun's "One More Time, One More Chance", and Ohno's "Take Me Faraway". It really suits him.

Hope they'll sing more ballads, so they will be able to showcase that they're not only good in pop but in other genres as well.

Arashi should definitely have more ballads smile
I absolutely love Be with you, Niji, Blue, Yume and Konseki (and Departure's morning if you count it as a ballad)
But I agree that the upbeated songs are more Arashi-like. But a ballad-like song on every album is nice!

blue, hitomi no naka no galaxy, auzora pedaru, and tomadoinagara.
i keep those on replay for super long a time.
they seriously make me sing along (even though i dnt really understand what they're singing about) and makes me think, ahhh it's so good that i'm a fan of arashi.
i cn hear nino sing the front part of hitomi no naka no galaxy with his guitar and start thinking about how much i love arashi,
or listen to blue and love arashi more.
okay i just realised i'm not making any sense HAHAHAHA.
to wrap things up, ARASHI IS AWESOME AND I AM SO HAPPY TO BE AN ARASHI FANGIRL. Heart
Wohoo!

I love, love, love "Caramel Song", "Aozora Pedal", and "Take Me Faraway". They all make me feel stupidly gushy and somewhat nostalgic...

One or two ballads per album are enough. For me, Arashi is an upbeat group.
Plus, for some reason I prefer ballads sung by women.

Although I love Nino's Niji and Ohno could have more solo ballads. Heart

Hmm..
well when I think ARASHI I think Happy (and rainbows). I dont really that think ballads that often. However, I DO like ballads a lot. So I full album full of ballads maybe not. But maybe a good third of the album would be nice for me X)

I think Arashi's ballads are really nice. It's always a nice surprise to hear ballads rather than the usual pop/rock songs because it shows that Arashi are flexible as singers.

I agree that ballads can make me feel sad, but sometimes it makes me sad but in a good kind of way... Ugh, I sound weird. I just mean that sometimes when I listen to ballads I feel the emotion being poured by the singer and it just gets to me and I'd feel the emotions as well. But I'd be like, "Wow. That song just moved me."

For me Arashi will always be connected to more upbeat and happy songs, but I think they should do more ballads as well.

Anways, I highly recommend Be With You and Koe. Those, and Nino's ballad solos plus his Friendship cover.
