I finally got my mom to watch a performance of Arashi (the "Move Your Body" one on SCP) and the first thing she said? "Their dancing sucks hahahaha xD I laughed so hard I choked on my own saliva. She is beginning to wonder why I would like a band like this.

I also forced my mom and my sister to watch an Arashi Concert (their Time + AAA in Dome) with me...wow my sister, she has a like/hate thing going on with Arashi.

My sister thinks Nino is cute and huggable...but she thinks Ohno looks arrogant. xD She also thinks their dancing sucks, and she likes some of their songs. Ah.. I guess if my sister were to join the "fandom" (which she DEFINITELY won't) she'd be a Nino fan. But she appreciates the older Hong Kong singers that are all dead. =P that night had got to be the most interesting night of my life.

my mom didn't know anything about arashi until i showed her iwo jima
and i told her that i loved nino
and she told me that she wanted me to marry him (and no one else)
i laughed
and when i showed her the rest of them she thought matsujun and ohno wasn't asian

My dad just said, "Oh, so you've moved to Japanese boys now huh?" I guess he's pretty much used to seeing me flailing/gushing over Asian superstars haha.

My whole family hates Arashi. I dunno what I'm doing wrong....Maybe if I play their music louder they might like it? Anyway none of my friends like them either and it makes me feels alone because I'm like ARASHI 24/7! That's why I'm glad I discovered this place

and my sister thinks im crazy and im going to marry a japanese person when i grow up and go to study aboard in college which is about 3 years from now =.=

well my dad would probably not really say anything. he'll accept what i listen to. i know he wont understand it, lol! but i know that he wouldnt disapprove. i believe that they are parent approved, ne?

okay.. i'll share mine.

so, among arashi members, matsujun was the first member we really knew... (that's because,all of us.. including my dad,mom and 'lil sis) watched gokusen together...
then,i learned about arashi,later.. after watching hyd.. (my dad too watched some of these episodes...)

but the thing is, MY PARENTS KNOW ABOUT MATSUJUN,BUT NOT ARASHI!
my sister and i learned to be "addictive" to this band,since we learn to love their songs..

then, when we watched Yamada Tarou.. (my mom also watched this one),i said "those two are from arashi!!"..then my mom said, she would want to see 'em dancing and singing.. and so, my sister and i showed it to her..

well, kinda.. she learned to like arashi.. but, not that muchh...

and then... my dad.. after he was showing his dvd of iwo jima to his friend, we started to watch that in the living room.. then my sister and i started to watch it too, just because NINO WAS THERE! and then we explained that Nino is actually a member of Arashi..

then,one day, my dad saw my wallpaper then he asked me "is that arashi..?" then i said... "haii"..
(ohh yahh.. we're japanese by the way)
and it was like,okay... so-you-like-that-boy-band-attitude was shown by him..
cause,my parents know more of SMAP...than arashi..

My mom isn't interested in them at all....my dad on the other hand think that the Arashi boys are CRAZY, especially Aiba.

They just leave me alone to my Arashi stuff....but my mom thinks I listen to them too much, and I can't even understand them so why bother. But for the most part, they just leave me alone. ^^

Okay, I guess my grandma is big here...long story too...
first, my mom didn't mind. She actually was happy that I was actually interested in something more mature. she even asked me if I want to join their fanclub!!! ( which I'm going to for my b-day!!!) she watches maou, shukudai-kun, himitsu no arashi-chan, almost everytime!!!

but my grandma! she's 66, and she knew arashi before I did!!!
Okay, so I used to live in United states a year ago, for 3 years. so I didn't really know about pop cultures here. until the april. when I actually watched the first episode of himitsu no arashi-chan!!! since I'm a disney freak, I was interested that someone was going to Disney World. (Matsujun) also, since I was planning to go to DW with my friends in US this summer for 2 weeks( which we did )I wanted to see what it's like. then I started watching that show, because its content was interesting. (not because I liked arashi at this time,) then my grandma comes in, and sits down. saying 'oh! I know them! they're arashi!' I was like, 'How do you know?' and she said 'oh, every japanese know that! they're famous!!!' then she started pointing out who's who and how she knew them.
'that's matsumoto jun, who appeared in Bambino (which she watched all episodes(!!!) but she didn't watch hana-dan) that's ninomiya, who's famous for acting, (she watched all of 'haikei, chichiue sama' (!!!!!!) that's aiba-kun, whom I think is really cute, and that Ohno-kun who had some art stuff going on. He looks soo...plain. except for his nose. AND THAT'S SAKURAI SHO-KUN!!! (yes, she was really excited here...) He's so smart, I watch his news shows... and isn't he awesome? he's the best. he's really cute too!!!'
so after continueing to watch himitsu no arashi-chan with my mysteriouslly young hobbied grandma, we both got obsessed. that was about June this year...
my dad hates Johnny's, (though I know he'd understand if I like it, but it would be annoying to explain,) so I haven't told him about it...
PS My brother loves some of their songs... 'One love' in particular...

My mom like ninomiya and we kept on arguing EVERYDAY why I like Ohno?!! She said nino is better looking and if I have to marry anyone of them, she prefer nino. And she wants me to watch Nino's movies. (Some mom??) WHATever! My mom's so annoying! kinda gets in my nerves sometimes.

She thinks that I listen too much music that she doesn't understand at all. And the worst is that I keep singing and them playing their songs so loud which makes her head boils. hahahha! Oh sweet revenge.

my dad, he's japanese...doesn't really want me to be associating myself with the "Japanese culture" for some strange reason, but there isn't really anything he can do. i love Arashi and alot of other J groups, so i guess my dad doesn't really approve.

my mom however, she doesn't get the whole computer/technology thing, so whenever she sees their picture on the screen or one of the many avatars on the forum, she freaks out at me. she thinks im chatting with older asian men and planning to run away and marry them (i can only wish). but after finally explaining im not talking to the guys cuz they're celebreties and part of a boy band, she thinks i've gone completely nuts.

noone at home understands my love for Arashi

My mom loves Nino. When I'm watching and Nino appears on-screen she goes: "Oh~ the handsome one~ the handsome one~" *facepalm*

At first though she couldn't understand why I'm so immersed in Arashi. But eventually she found them amusing as well. (I blame Yamada Taro Monogatari for this, since we watched that together.)
Now, whenever I'm watching, she stops by behind me to catch a glimpse of Nino. orz

they really dont care at all...
~they just let flail whenever i want to,...
~and when i asked them for money for me to buy something (like album, singles, uchiwas... etc..),. they just give it without asking what will I buy...
I guess its a good thing...
