Ok, I'm making more threads on Members' private lives, so you can choose whether you wanna discuss/debate about this or not.
So maybe we should debate what's good things/ bad things for having siblings?
What do you prefer? being alone? or having bro/sis?
And being big bro/sis, Middle or smallest also gives you different experiences, I suppose.
Let's debate on this!!
(Ps. You can complain about your bro/sis if you want!! )
==============
I'm a single child, so please feel free proving my ideas!
I think having siblings is nice for some reasons:
1) You're not alone
2) You can borrow their stuffs/money/ whatever when you need it but don't have it.
3) You can share good/bad moments together.
4) You can team up with your bro/sis for playing or doing something.
5) Some Hand-me-down stuffs are nice.
6) If you are not going to have children on your own, you still have your niece/nephew anyway.
7) They can protect you.
But Maybe having siblings is
1) Annoying....violating your privacy
2) Always take all your stuffs...
3) Everything, must be shared among bro/sis....even money and fav. cakes.
4) Sometimes, they just bring you troubles.
5) They bullied you.
6) If they're better than you, you'll be compared by your parents.
I prefer having siblings.... being a single child ain't that nice.... For the worst, You're all alone.

i have one older sister...so i'm the youngest. but i like having a sibling. my sister and i are really really good friends. i guess it's easier to get along with your sibling if you're of the same gender. a lot of sisters are best friends lol. i think...
she does get on my nerves sometimes though lol she's really nosey :x but that's about it...

I only have 1 older brother so I'm the youngest one in my family. Actually I prefer to have a sister because i can share and talk about everything.
My bro, Sometimes he's very annoying xD
If he wants something, he could be so selfish.
Also he's so stingy (Just exactly like Nino xDD).
But except for Nino, it's OK for me! (I'm biased)
I have two little sisters and one little brother so I'm the oldest...
Being the oldest is sometimes an advantage (I have my own room! lol) but it's also a responsability (take care of them, set the good example...)
With my sisters we are very good friends! There aren't a lot of years difference between us so we do many things together. They love J-pop and Arashi like me...One of my sister studies Japonese, so she is a good help for me ><
My other sister prefers NEWS to Arashi: we are always debating! lol But it's funny!
My brother is younger, it's different...I'm more protective.
When we fight, it's never for a long time...They are my best support in bad times.
I like having sibling, there are always so much bustle and animation!

I have three sisters. Two older one younger.
I personally would rather be an only child.
Nowadays, I rarely even speak to them and we don't really get along well.
I guess I'm just used to being alone, I prefer it.
I think having siblings is nice for some reasons:
1) You're not alone
I prefer being alone since I mostly am when everyone is gone.
2) You can borrow their stuffs/money/ whatever when you need it but don't have it.
They don't let me borrow stuff is I end up just buying it myself.
3) You can share good/bad moments together.
They are the cause of bad things ><
4) You can team up with your bro/sis for playing or doing something.
We like to become each others rivals instead.
5) Some Hand-me-down stuffs are nice.
They always throw their old stuff away.
6) If you are not going to have children on your own, you still have your niece/nephew anyway.
My cousins children are enough ^^"
7) They can protect you.
They like to be me up. LOL!
But Maybe having siblings is
1) Annoying....violating your privacy
Especially my little sister. Always violating my privacy.
2) Always take all your stuffs...
Not my sisters.
3) Everything, must be shared among bro/sis....even money and fav. cakes.
Ah no. Mys sisters have jobs so I don't share my money ... not like it's mine to begin with though.
4) Sometimes, they just bring you troubles.
Always.
5) They bullied you.
Of course.
6) If they're better than you, you'll be compared by your parents.
Most definitely.

I have three older sisters, all of which are my half-siblings. I never lived with my two oldest siblings, but I've lived with the third for EVER! D:
I personally wish she would move out, but then I would have to take on her chores which would suck.
As to your questions~
1) You're not alone This is true, and it's nice. But it's a pain when you want to be alone and they just keep bugging you.
2) You can borrow their stuffs/money/ whatever when you need it but don't have it. This is far from the truth! I never borrow my sisters things/money and she's always taking mine! And she never pays me back D< She still owes me about $150 dollars which I know I'll never see.
3) You can share good/bad moments together. Yeah. But I'm not sure if this is a positive thing.
4) You can team up with your bro/sis for playing or doing something. Eh, I would if she was closer to my age, but she's 9 years older than me.
5) Some Hand-me-down stuffs are nice. I never got hand-me-downs from her. She doesn't take good care of her things.
6) If you are not going to have children on your own, you still have your niece/nephew anyway. True, though I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be the only one that has kids o_o
7) They can protect you. They could, if two didn't live so many states away, and my sister that lives with me wasn't a complete wuse. She wouldn't be able to protect me even if she wanted.
1) Annoying....violating your privacy ALL the time!
2) Always take all your stuffs... Again, ALL the time!
3) Everything, must be shared among bro/sis....even money and fav. cakes. Sometimes. Though it's not really being shared but more taken.
4) Sometimes, they just bring you troubles. Yeah...
5) They bullied you. Yeah, though I bullied her right back.
6) If they're better than you, you'll be compared by your parents. I luckily haven't had this experience. The most I get is "Please, don't turn out like your sister!". Though whenever I don't do something it's always "When [insert sister's name here] was your age she could make her bed, do the dishes, and wash the clothes!" D;
If I had been asked this in grade school, I would have undoubtedly said I'd rather be an only child. I'm the younger sibling in the household, and I have to say... it's difficult in the sense that they've already done everything you're about to do. Luckily we excelled in different areas, so we each had bragging rights to something. However, I was the recipient of all the hand-me-downs. When I was younger, I HATED this with a passion. I resented the fact that my sister was always getting new things, while I was stuck with the old, used stuff... and yet I couldn't argue because everything was still usable or wearable.
Now days I absolutely love having an older sister. I can tell her just about everything, which is a relief because there's just some things you don't feel comfortable telling parents. Being older, she has more life experience and I use that to my advantage. I also love going shopping with her, she's honest about what looks good or bad. I still receive the occasional hand-me-down, however I'm more than happy to take it. Free? Yeah, I can deal with that. Only problem is that my closet space is running out, I have amassed a good amount of junk over the years but am too sentimental.

I have bunch of siblings and I'm the second oldest.
Ok third oldest if my step-sis is counted.
1) You're not alone
Eh, I actually prefer being alone. 1-2 siblings might be nice, but..
2) You can borrow their stuffs/money/ whatever when you need it but don't have it.
It's usually vice versa. They borrow my stuff
Though lately I have used my youngest sister's (jen) shoes XDD
And my siblings' bikes since I don't have one anymore.
3) You can share good/bad moments together.
True, especially about good moments. With jen we're laughing like idiots all the time XD
4) You can team up with your bro/sis for playing or doing something.
Team up for watching dramas hahahaha~
6) If you are not going to have children on your own, you still have your niece/nephew anyway.
True. And that reminds me my big bro's daughter was born on 8th July
I became an aunt, yay.
7) They can protect you.
Not really, I'm old LOL
Maybe my big bro..
1) Annoying....violating your privacy
Yes! When I was living with them + now that I spend this summer here.
But I dunno if they annoy me more or my parents.. Hmm..
2) Always take all your stuffs...
Just like I mentioned. Always borrowing my stuff
3) Everything, must be shared among bro/sis....even money and fav. cakes.
I'm happy for being an adult. I don't need to share money or stuff like that.
But if I do have some candies etc I surely do suddenly have a lot of friends..
4) Sometimes, they just bring you troubles.
So far this haven't happened, I think.
5) They bullied you.
Haven't happened. And better not or I will kick their -censored-.
6) If they're better than you, you'll be compared by your parents.
I think my parents have learned not do that. We are so different from each other after all, and we all have our strong and weak points.

I'm the middle child.
I have a sister 7 years older and a brother 2 years younger.
I can't imagine what it would be like without siblings. My sister is like a second mum. When my bro and I were younger, my parents were always working, so she would look after us all the time. Cook, clean and take us out. Now that we're older, it's more of a friend like relationship though. Though it's weird that we have mutual friends because we've got very different personalities.
My brother and I are really close. Everyone comments on it. It's like we're best friends or something. It comes from being inseparable as children. It's strange though coz we don't really have that many similar interests besides manga and anime, and even then, we have different tastes. But we have the same sense of humour so we find the same stuff funny and I can usually finish his sentences for him, but he can't do that to me. I suppose that's my prerogative for being the elder~
1) You're not alone
True, but even with them around, it's like being alone coz we just sit in the same room doing our own thing satisfied that the others are there.
2) You can borrow their stuffs/money/ whatever when you need it but don't have it.
Haha. I borrow my sis' stuff sometimes, but not often coz she's bigger than me.
On the flip side, I practically raise my bro these days. I buy everything for him from clothes to games. He's a brat.
3) You can share good/bad moments together.
I suppose. My family hasn't really experienced that many really good or bad times, but then again, my family isn't really emotionally open to each other despite everything. We give each other space
4) You can team up with your bro/sis for playing or doing something.
My brother and I marathon anime~ Lately it's been Dragonball Z
My sister usually ropes me into helping her fix her clothes coz she doesn't know how to sew and screws it up and I have to fix it up for her >_<
6) If you are not going to have children on your own, you still have your niece/nephew anyway.
At this rate, not anything soon. She's 28 and still no kids!
7) They can protect you.
Not really. Even though she's older, my sis is the naive type, so I know more and are more likely to protect her. Same with my bro. I'm not sure if younger bros have an instinct to protect their older sisters~
1) Annoying....violating your privacy
Considering that my bro spends more time in my room than I do... yes, just a little bit!
2) Always take all your stuffs...
I only have Arashi stuff and nobody else apprieciates them in my household~
3) Everything, must be shared among bro/sis....even money and fav. cakes.
True, but I never really minded. Even now, I buy everything in 3's even if I don't need to coz I'm so used to it. Same with the other guys. They always buy or leave me some if I'm not there
4) Sometimes, they just bring you troubles.
None that I can think of so far. Though I get shouted at sometimes coz my cro or sis has gone out without telling the parents
5) They bullied you.
Actually.... I'm the bully in our family~
My bro and I used to play fight all the time. Even now, I bully him into giving me the best seat in the living room
6) If they're better than you, you'll be compared by your parents.
I'm lucky in that aspect because I'm fairly bright and have excelled in most of the things I do. Also, my sister isn't the academic type, being more of a people person, so I was able to escape sibling comparison. I know my parents compare my brother to me though, but he knows not to think of it too much. But even still, my mum will compare to other people's children, like [Oh so-and-so's kid is only 16 and already in uni!] or [so-and-so's boy is doing law...] that sort of thing. It really upsets me.
Anyway. I love having siblings. I think being a only child would get lonely, but I can understand why people would want to be an only child as well coz I know a lot of people who don't get along with their siblings and fight and bicker all the time. To each their own I suppose
In my family it's just my older brother and me. But being the youngest is still a pain because you get stuck with chores 'n the work no one else wants to do..and because you're the youngest you can't really complain.
At least that's how it works in my family, I'm the youngest but deemed as the most responsible one. =\
But overall, I don't like being alone period...so I couldn't imagine myself as an only child and having strict parents that wouldn't let me do anything. So with my brother I can have fun still even while I'm at home. Misery loves company right? lol. Growing up with my bro made me more of a tomboy though...ahahaha.
