Title: Of Pride and Dignity
Pairings: Ermm... None... Or maybe... OhMatsuMiya?
Rating: G
Genre: Humor. Hopefully.
Notes: Just a retarded fic. Got the idea from watching old episodes of D no Arashi and, yes, Maou. XD
And... Since the setting for this fic is around the time when they were doing DnA, Ohno's 24 years old in this fic. ^^;
Enjoy!

“Can I do it… please…?”
“No.”
“But… it’s so cute!”
“You do it and there’d be no more O no Arashi for you!”
Ohno pouted. “It’s not like you guys give good prices for my Ohno Graphics anyway…”
Matsujun rolled his eyes. “Fine. If we give you 10 000 yen next time, will you promise that you won’t go hug that *thing*?”
That thing, as referred to Matsujun, was a brown, bear-ish, two-meter tall mascot by the name of Fumoffu-chan. It was a beautiful sunny day. So early that morning, Matsujun and Nino had decided to take their Leader to a theme park.
Everything had been fun and well until Ohno encountered the theme park’s mascot, at which point his affection to all-things-cute-and-cuddly had taken over and he was filled with a passionate desire to hug the said mascot.
Thus, the two youngest members had embarked on the dire task of stopping their beloved Leader from hugging Fumoffu-chan and making a fool out of himself in front of all the crowds.
Ohno’s face had turned momentarily serious as he pondered the youngest member’s offer. Matsujun’s hope soared. But then…
“No. I’d rather hug Fumoffu-chan.”
With a wide grin, Ohno began skittering towards Fumoffu-chan, who was currently being cornered by dozens children who were mainly three to eight years old.
Ohno however, had only taken two steps when Nino roughly grabbed his shoulders from behind and pulled him back.
“If you go now, Riida, I won’t treat you to ramen anymore.” Nino warned, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
“Eh? Have you treated me before?”
“…..”
“Good point,” Nino said, releasing his hold on Ohno’s shoulders.
Matsujun rolled his eyes for the second time that day. He wondered what he’d done in his past life to deserve such band mates.
With the issue settled, Ohno took another step towards the mascot.
“Wait!” this time it was Matsujun who stopped the older guy. “Riida, how old are you?”
Ohno blinked. “Eh? I’m 24, of course.”
“And how old are they?” Matsujun pointed towards the giggling children around Fumoffu-chan.
Ohno began to ponder the question seriously. “Hmm… let’s see…” He pointed to a girl with a ponytail. “That one must be about seven, I think?” Then he switched his attention to another, shorter girl. “And she must be like… three, I think. And that boy, he must be either five or six, because-”
“So!” Matsujun cut Ohno’s words. “Have you got the point here?”
“Eh? What point?” their Leader didn’t seem to understand what Matsujun was trying to say.
“You’re too old, already, Oji-chan!” Nino answered for Ohno, using his favourite Ohno’s nickname for emphasis.
Ohno gasped. “But that’s age discrimination!” he protested, appalled at the two members’ narrow-mindedness. “This, is a free country! And moreover, there’s no such law that prevents anyone at all from having fun with a mascot in a theme park! They are meant to bring happiness to all, not only children! Aiba-chan would’ve agreed with me!”
“…..”
Nino and Matsujun were surprised. Ohno had rarely – well, perhaps never – given such a long fierce argument before.
Thinking that the silence meant that he had won the debate, Ohno smiled and began walking towards Fumoffu-chan again.
Matsujun glanced at Nino, and at that instant, they reached an agreement. They had no choice but to do it.
“Oh-chan!” Nino called, but Ohno ignored him. “Tonight, if you don’t hug Fumoffu-chan now, we’ll make sure that Fumoffu-chan will come over to your house to play with you!”
*That* caught Ohno’s attention. “Eh? Really?”
“Sure,” Matsujun tried to convince him further. “Fumoffu-chan will come and bring some balloons too.”
“Okay. I’ll wait until tonight.” With that, Ohno bounced off to the opposite direction, away from the horde of children surrounding the mascot.
“But don’t bring anyone else!” Nino and Matsujun said unanimously. It’s okay to embarrass themselves in front of Ohno. But not with the others. Especially not Sho. That guy would laugh his head off if he ever saw them in such costume.
And their dignity would be broken forever.
Unfortunately for them, Ohno must’ve missed their last words, as that night, Ohno had invited Aiba and Sho, along with another dozen of his friends to witness the renowned mascot’s visit to his house.
And thus, for the next three months, Sho and Aiba would look at the two youngest members with mirth-filled eyes. And whenever the two weren’t looking, they would merrily laugh and show each other the pictures of the two Fumoffu-chans that they had captured with their camera on that fateful night in their Leader’s house.
Ohno, in the meantime, would sit quietly in a corner, watching the whole scene with an evil smirk hidden behind his sketchbook.
