Sho can rap so well I think it's cos he really knows how to control his voice. He knows when to make it loud or soft, high or low. But when the rest of the members rap, (sorry.. but esp Jun) they don't really know where to emphasize in the rap and what the tone of the voice should be.
In one of the concerts, Aiba jumped on Sho during his rap and Aiba is like 60kgs? But Sho can still control his voice and rapped really strongly and steadily despite the huge pressure he's carrying! I was impressed! I thought he would sound pressured or out of breath but he was totally unaffected!
But I think Ohno can rap quite well too! he's too knows how to control his voice, that's why he can sing sooooooooo well. But we can't let Ohno do al the vocals and all the raps.. he will be too tired lol

Hi all!
Although it's pretty obvious listening to their raps that Sho is EASILY the best in rapping but did he display that during the junior days? I've seen some of their junior performances and Sho normally just dances or sings.
Did he ever mention in his interview how he was chosen to do the rap?
and if he liked doing it? Or cos he was chosen to do it in their debut song and so have been doing it since.. To me, his rap is like a signature to an Arashi's fast song. Altho there are nice ones w/o his raps but his raps make the song more unique and upbeat.

I love Sho's voice a lot (then again, I like all their voices) But Sho's voice is deffinately the best for the rapping. I also really love his melodies. He can sing really good and his deep voice is so schmexy!
When I first got into Arashi songs, I have to admit that I wasn't a fan of Sho's rapping. I wasn't big on rap in general, so Japanese rap threw me off even more. When I heard Pika*chi I honestly thought "wow, this guy is trying too hard". I mean his voice is low, but it's not THAT extreme. It probably justifies itself because it matches the character he played in the movie.
I got much more into his rap when I heard "Cool&Soul", because his voice sounded much more natural. I just read his 10000 word interview today where he mentions that he adjusts his rap accordingly to Arashi's style, which is really evident in their more recent songs.
In terms of his lyrics, I think they're very good and send out a really good message. (Not that I've read translations to all of them) Though I remember one time he mentions "Jesus" in his rap lyrics (or maybe i misheard) and I thought, "huh, I wonder if anyone said anything about that?"
His singing is not the best but it's not bad either... he has a raspy voice that contrasts with Ohno and Nino's more melodic voices. His high notes are lacking sometime but that's just me being picky... in Pika**chi Double He really nailed it. I love that song.

The best rapper in Johnny's! He's getting better and better through the years.. And the fact that he writes the rap parts of their songs makes him so awesome..
i love hearing sho's singing and rapping voice! i like hearing his singing voice the most in arashi (aiba's too) its deep and manly..haha!! and i love his rapping!!!especially when they perform live, for example concerts, he really brings up the atmosphere with his rapping! (i love it when he raps kitto daijoubu live! its so lively!)..i love all his raps from a.ra.shi to jidai to pika*nchi to we can make it to step and go so on and so forth..
