Summary: Sho's early morning ritual.
Notes: It's 1:53am and I wanted to write something fluffy to make myself feel better and this is what came out.


“I need to stop waking up at 5am…” Sho grumbled as he untangled himself from his bed sheets. Stuffing his feet into his slippers, throwing his favourite hoodie over his bare chest to fend off the early morning chill, Sho shuffled into the kitchen. He flipped open his laptop sitting on the kitchen table on his way to the fridge. He tugged on the door, squinting into the unbelievably bright light, and stared into appliance: a half-full package of eggs, expired yogurt, condiments, white miso, mouldy somethings that might have been carrots at one point, and a half-empty carton of milk passed its best-by date. Sho decided the milk passed the smell test, and took a swig from the carton.

Carton of milk at hand, Sho sat down at the table and sifted through emails in the early morning twilight. Work, work, friend, porn, spam, porn, porn, friend, work, work. Sho sighed and hit the delete button for the twelfth time. He opened iTunes and picked an internet radio station at random: it was only for background noise. I’m up anyway… he thought. He opened an email from the News Zero assistant director. He read an email from the editorial staff of Arashi no Shukudai-kun. He laughed at a mindless forward from a high school friend.

Sho’s cell phone beeped from its cradle on his bedside table. He peeled his eyes away from the news article and looked at the corner of the laptop screen: 5:48am. He rinsed the empty carton in the sink and went to retrieve his phone. He looked at the fading screen and saw one new email message waiting. He opened the waiting message, fully expecting it to be from the sound director or one of the other two hundred and three staff members he’s worked with.

I can't imagine Sho to have expired food in his fridge (Nino, YES! I can!) but this story was very cute and having it short just made things a bit more "developing" in a fan girl's head
