From what I've seen subbed of GRA, I actually liked it quite a bit. It's definitely not as entertaining as Shukudai-kun or Mago Mago, but I liked learning about all these different aspects of Japanese culture. But it's definitely a series that would benefit from being subbed since it's really hard to understand or be interested otherwise.
The guest except Matsui san is annoying , but I like the show very much since I like the topics ~ learning about culture!
But if have choose between Mago Mago and GRA , MMA for sure!
not the best arashi tvshow I liked, but I still like it... ^^
despite the lack of arashi member's reaction (not as much as in mago2x or shukudai-kun moreover DnA), I like the information they gave about japanese culture...
and I never thought that both riida and Jun had a ranking in japanese calligraphy...! 0_o
poor Matsujun he got lower rank than Sho at the end of the show (eh...? I forgot which episode it was)

i already watched a few episode of them...but i not really addict to it rather than MMA or HnA....hmm....maybe it is in studio..or i dont rally like the format...but because of Arashi....i still have to watched it..
I watched the show. It was hard to understand everything, but there were some interesting topics they covered. It would've been nice to see it go on longer, but I guess it wasn't pulling in as many viewers? They ended with a bang though with the enkaigei subject. Ohno was chou kawaii when it was his turn lol.
I just watched the episodes that have been subbed so far and I also think that it's not really the most entertaining Show they have.
Most times the guest start to annoy me and I skip some of the VTR parts.
How many ep. does GRA have?
actually could anyone here tell me what GRA it's all about? this is one that i have never seen a episode before.. so i have no idea. looking forward to your replies!
hello, chocogal27!! so Golden Rush Arashi is pretty much a "study group" on unique aspects of Japanese culture... Arashi and a few regular guests invite over experts on Japanese culture
there aren't too many episodes, though. Kela, i believe there are only 23. but some topics they go over:
- learn about different parts of tuna for making sashimi & sushi
- Japan's pickled foods
- wagashi-- Japanese sweets
- shodo-- the art of brush calligraphy
- significance of rice/Chinese cabbage/miso/soba/etc (each food is featured in a different episode) in the Japanese diet
- Buddha icons
- convenient kitchen goods
- they even followed a day in the life of Miyazaki-ken's quirky Prefectural Governor
and... there you go i learned a surprising amount of information from watching GRA, and i hope you do too when you watch it (if you're not already immersed in Japanese culture lol)
