Ahh, I love Jun with anything. I laughed the most when I saw him in The Arashi Gakkou He Ikkou episode where he was being interviewed by the guy (dressed as a girl) and was getting suspicious.
I just saw this today. Jun is so off, but he looks adorable.

Arashi member Jun Matsumoto will star in a drama special that is being broadcast as part of NTV's charity program "24 Hour Television." Titled "Myu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru," the drama will air on August 30.
The drama is based on a true story about a young man (played by Matsumoto) who learns he has a rare illness known as CIDP, which affects the nervous system. He begins to lose the functioning of his limbs, but he is determined to fight the illness with the support of his wife (Karina) and his 2-year-old daughter, Myu-chan.
Matsumoto, along with the rest of Arashi and actress Yukie Nakama, has already been announced as a host for "24 Hour Television," scheduled for August 30-31.
BTW I tried to find a word for his "____" period and I thought of broody and did you guys know that actual definition of "broody" is: the desire to want to sit and hatch eggs? XDDD
I know this is from ages ago (but I'm a language nut ...Amongst other things) I think the word you're looking for is "brooding" rather than broody. Hens and girls get broody for er, chicks and babies respectively.
Brooding can be applied to the period of hatching eggs but is used in the context of "dark and brooding" where one is preoccupied with their own thoughts, (especially of depressing/painful thoughts).
I think the uses have similar roots, like an overhanging distraction with something i.e. thoughts or ...eggs.
Anyways, I'm glad Jun has gotten over his detached, brooding phase because he's much more lovable being a dork, espcially when he gets overwhelmingly excited about something stupid like A no Arashi experiments ^_^
