Hello fellow Arashi fans! I was wondering if anyone has ever attended/been in the audience of one of Arashi's shows before? I will be taking a trip to Japan for 3 weeks and I was hoping to be able to see them live for one of their tapings. However, I checked the website for Arashi no Shukudai-kun and my Japanese isn't good enough to figure out what it says...
I hope I posted this question in the right place. I'm new here, so sorry if I didn't post in the right thread!
This is the address of NTV (the station that broadcasts AnS):
Nippon Television Network Corporation
1-6-1 Higashi Shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-7444, Japan
Tel: 81-3-6215-1111
The show is taped every Tuesday afternoon and according to the official website, the public is selected from groups who apply to go to the show via a request that I think one can only send from Japan to this address:
〒105-8714 日本テレビ「嵐の宿題くん」宛
Only those who are invited get sent the details and the invitation via post.
Now some good news: some fan reported having been to AnS and said that they were asked to meet up at around 1 pm near Nittere Tower in the Shiodome district of Tokyo so, if you're around at that time, look out for a group of fifty or so girls and you'll be on the right track.

I neither live in Japan nor do I speak Japanese so don't quote me on this but a while back, an user on LiveJournal made a post on how to purchase concert tickets and I believe she mentioned in there that for Arashi variety shows, you have to be a member of their fan club and apply for seats in a lottery.

Thanks for the information! I guess I'll try my best to see if I can get into the show! If not, maybe next time...

If this is true, perhaps I can't go see them given how much time I have between now and when I leave for Japan. I'll have to find someone to help me apply for their fanclub (using a mailing address in Japan) and such. I guess there's always next year...

I'm sorry to make you disappointed, but it's impossible if you're just there for 3 weeks. First, you have to be a fanclub member. Second, you have to ballot if you want to be audience, and there's certain time where you can do that, not just randomly whenever (They inform about these things in emails received by fanclub members). Not many people able to get chosen and get into one of the filmings too, even though some already applied quite often for lots of filming dates.
Thanks so much again for the information. I guess I had a feeling that it wouldn't be so easy. I love Arashi but it's so frustrating how Johnny's works... Maybe I'll just try to spot them in public or at Aiba's restaurant or something, haha.

so basically, doing it the fangirl way is pretty much out of the question. there's no way we can be in the fanclub unless we have a japanese address. maybe if you knew the producer or someone else with some pull, you could have a chance of being an audience member, yeah? *sigh* a girl can dream, can't she?

I realize this is an old post, but hopefully somebody will read my reply! I am a FC member, our close family friend who moved to Japan signed me up. Could anybody explain how I could buy tickets? My Japanese is extremely limited (as in I just started class 2 months ago) so please use as much English as possible!
