I really liked it. Jun solving mysteries.. I really want the special episode to be subbed and I want to watch it. I fell in love with Jidai because of this drama.

This drama was really cool ^^
I loved all the different mysteries...and Jun's hair =D
I especially liked the one with the story about the butterflys...that was really original

i still haven't watched this series yet, but i will soon! i've heard that the episodes have really good plots, so i'm curious and i've read some of your comments here, so now i'm REALLY curious, haha :P plus, its Jun!

An all time fav with me. I think this is one of the first drama series that I watched with Jun and I was quite impressed with his acting though I think his interpretation of Kindaichi is quite different. I have never seen such a cool Kindaichi before at least not in the mangas or when Tsuyoshi Domoto from Kinki Kids did the 1st part. Haha... Anyhow, it is one of those dramas that I bought and constantly re-watched periodically.

I'm working my way through the manga. Currently on volume 17.

I watched the first generation Domoto Tsuyoshi first and second series years ago and loved it, and saw the SP some time later.
I've got a subbed version of the third MatsuJun series, but the subs are not fantastic (some big things and little things that irk me about subbing - sequences and on screen text not translated, not maintaining honorifics, incorrect katakana translation...) and it kinda gets in the way of enjoying the drama.
The Jun SP has just been released with nice subs (LJ sunstar86 and taiji), but so far I've only watched a little bit of it to check.

Somehow, I don't feel like the plotlines and scripts for the latter series and specials are as flowing as the first two series. I'm not sure why. Some of them do feel quite rushed (even the Tsuyoshi SP, even though it's longer than a standard episode).

Jun does a good job as Kindaichi. It's always hard when you have a predecessor, but he's just as convincingly genius/idiot/pervert as Tsuyoshi, hahahaha. I'd really like to see the Kame SP too as I love it when he's being dorky too.

oh i saw this drama on crunchyroll couple months ago it was really good jun was so cute back then

i always like the Kindaichi series right from the 1st season when Domoto Tsuyoshi was leading...i think Jun reprise this role really well...think he make a better Kindaichi then Kame in the series...LOL guess because he look smart
