a friend of mine who just got back from Japan said SMAP's still pretty big there... so I'd want to think that Arashi's still gonna be around for the next 10 years. ^_^

thats a thought that i never want in my head ever again. thay are just so wonderful together. i just ...... you know come to think of it. i just dont want their friendship to be gone. and to me breaking up means that they would all just part their ways. that would just make me oh so sad!

i hope that they keep making music until they decide that they should retire. and i hope that they always stay the bestest friends forever!

I really don't see them breaking up. They've really got it in my head that they are themselves the biggest Arashi fans out there. I mean, they sing only their own songs at karaoke lol. So yeah, they care too much for their group to break up the band. Anyway, they already do solo work on their albums. I think the next step is (corresponding) solo PVs. Oooooooh, fingers crossed.

I don't think they'll break up any time soon... Compared to the other older Johnny bands... they still have a long way to go. I can't imagine them breaking up... That will make me really sad.

... if they do break up... Maybe they'll go solo or something?
Or they'll do other things, like Sho will continue as a newscaster, etc.

Just thinking of them breaking up is hard. But I guess I'll keep supporting them through their solo projects.

That's a pretty good question, though I think it's difficult to say when they would be "kicked out". I mean SMAP is hella old and they're still releasing singles (latest one is "この瞬間、きっと夢じゃない" for the Olympics, I believe) and they're still in dramas, etc. I think as long as they're willing to be together and still are healthy enough to do it, they'll be there. I don't even know if there are any "old" standards any more, for any country or industry. I mean, if you look at America, we have a lot of old actors and actresses, and definitely old singers. Madonna is fifty and still dancing her butt off; and those who can't move as well still sing if they've got in them. Cher was 70 when she came out with her most recent song, no?

Ah, I think Arashi should retire in another twenty (well, I actually think they should stop when they're around 40, but SMAP proves otherwise, so... who knows?) years or so. By then, I hope they'll just be happily living their own lives and all. I know I'd want to focus on my own life and listen to new music and give them a break. They deserve their happiness!

I think I'd be pretty sad if they split and went their own ways. They're pettu much the ones who sealed my love of J-music forever. But hey, if it happens, it happens, right? What can you do about it? That's life, I guess.

At most, probably when they're in their 40's or late 30's once they've settled with someone or with their lives. D: If they were to split up, I wouldn't be too devastated because they performed great music and did a lot of things that made their fans really love them. They did their very best (best is an understatement)

I feel depressed when I think of the possibility of Arashi splitting. I have some hard times coming my way so please please not yet!! Arashi is something that helps me get up in the morning and do my best.

Indeed! Do we not love SMAP's Nakai insulting Arashi in Utaban? And I remember Jun saying in some Shonen club premium that in the future he wouldn't mind hosting that show..

Maybe it's a good thing for them to slow down at some point. You know, have wives and kids, that kind of life. Have their own projects but never actually quit as Arashi! That's what I hope.

If they still WOULD suddenly split up for some unknown reason...I think I would be extremely sad, it would be like loosing a friend. But that wont happen!!! ~runs away with hands over ears~
