just out of curiosity, have there ever been other performances in which the guys sang raw harmonies w/o prerecorded vocals? or maybe even background music? acapella, if you will?

i'm sure most of us listen to the CD tracks over and over again to know when they're NOT lipsyncing it live :P but they usually have a backing vocal track playing along during the chorus or something...

one of the first fancam recordings i found when i first heard of Arashi was for "Dekirudake"... go find it on youtube since i'm scared to link it here :P

aside from melting at Ohno's soulful falsetto, i noticed that MatsuJun (and maybe Nino??) sing the lower harmony for the chorus. hurrah for raw voices!!! i'm not too familiar with Arashi's ability to harmonize live (except for their one *seemingly rare* karaoke performance for Fukuyama Masaharu's "Gang")...

I've seen at least 2 old live performances of Pika**nchi Double that didn't have any pre-recorded vocals. One was from Nama ARASHI & one from MS. I think they're still in YouTube. They didn't really sound too good though. I'm just wondering how they sound "Raw" now since they've come a long way & their harmonizing in their CDs & all have improved over the years.

@ Sunako: thx a bunch their voices certainly have improved over the years and i'm so proud of that. i'm hoping that maybe they'll have some sort of unplugged session someday. like they'd sing one of their ballads and maybe Nino can be on the guitar or something. that'd be awesome ^-^
