Entry 22- Pushing him away.

“Let’s all go.” Lyn said as she ushers her children back to the car….

“Yey!!!” Jiro said clapping his hand… “I miss my shows!!!!”

“I miss my bears….” Chinchin said as she sits inside the car….

“Khaye???” Lyn called Khaye’s name….she looked outside the car and unto the window on the left side of the Sakurai house-hold….she knows Khaye’s there…..and she knows she can hear her. “Khaye come on, what are you still doing?”

On the meant time, Khaye was busy sitting on the bed, fully prepared to leave…she closes her eyes then runs down her finger on the ring Sho gave her….flashes of memories suddenly floods her head….

It was raining hard that night, Khaye was just a little 7 year old girl….they were just having a really quiet dinner which she found really odd….only the hard falling of rain drops on the roof can be heard…..she anxiously looks at her parents, they were just quiet….

“Ummm…I got a star today mommy!” Khaye proudly show her hand and waved it…but her mom didn’t react…she just continued eating….she doesn’t know what to do….

“I think it’s better for you to go to bed early tonight.” Khaye’s mom said….

“But it’s Friday night, we have movie night every Friday remember? Last week was Dad’s choice….now is your choice mom.” Khaye tried to deny herself of the fact that the atmosphere is killing her.

“Listen to your mom.” Her dad said straight.

“But dad…”

“LISTEN TO YOUR MOM AND GO TO YOUR ROOM!” He suddenly yelled, shocking Khaye….tears started to appear on the corner of her eye.

“You don’t have to yell!” Khaye’s mom said…

Khaye’s parent have been arguing a lot now, she doesn’t know why….but the only thing that makes her sleep at night is that whenever it’s dinner time they still manage to eat together…Little Khaye started shaking her head…No she can’t possibly accept this…even at her precious dinner time…the only time that she feels they’re a whole family is gone….she couldn’t stand this any longer and there she dashes off towards her room…locking it quickly.

She kept on crying until she had fallen asleep.

Hours later she woke up thirsty….she stood up and with her little foot walked towards the kitchen, her parent’s room is opened a little….she can still them talking…

With her little hands she poured water to her glass of water…she then tiptoed and sat net to the small opening to her parent’s room. She sat there and listened intently.

“How dare you face your family going back here every day knowing you have another woman!” Khaye’s mom said crying…

“You pushed me away! You made all of this happen!” Her dad yelled back.

“Now it was all my fault! Your cheating is my fault?!”

“Yes!”

“I can never forgive you for this! You chose another woman not just over me but over you own daughter.”

“Don’t say such a thing! I love our daughter, she is forever will be my number 1” She hears her dad speaking…she grips her glass tighter, she doesn’t understand about this other woman….

“I don’t want to see you anymore in this house.”

“I already packed.”

“Good, be gone tomorrow.”

“Goodbye then.” Her dad said, then suddenly she can hear footsteps going outside the room, she panicked and tipped the glass over, spilling water…but she didn’t pick it up anymore and just decided to run to her room and pretend to be sleeping….She jumped and hid her head under her pillow

Her dad entered her room….sat on the bed and started to wipe her hair…she can hear her dad crying….then kissed her on the cheek…then said sorry and goodbye….

It would take 4 more years before she understood what happened that night, the only thing she can understand was she was always going back and fort to two different countries all her life….but after 4 years she finally realized how things happened….why she never had a complete family picture….nor both parents go up the stage to give her awards.

Her dad cheated on her mom….with another woman….

“Khaye?” Lyn sneaked inside the room via the small opened window, Khaye shook her head… “Are you coming or not?”

“Ummm…yeah sorry…I was just busy…” Khaye stood up and brushed her pants….

“Busy staring to nowhere? Come on hurry up….we need to buy stuffs before we leave.” Lyn closed the window…

Khaye took a deep breathe…..then slowly opened her door….she stepped out and there sitting on the dinner table was Sho, his head hidden on his face….apparently thinking really carefully….she wanted to approach Sho, but the moment she took her first few step, her eye spotted something…Sho’s left hand was flipping his phone….this made her step back and stop.

Sho noticed Khaye, then looked at his phone…..

“Khaye” Sho stood up…but Khaye stepped back….

Seriously, Khaye is really feeling confused right now, she wanted to ran towards Sho and say she’s sorry…but a part of her doesn’t….she grip her body bag tighter…then slowly looks at Sho in the eyes…

“We’re going now….I’ll probably drop them off to the airport before going back here.” Khaye said, she nodded then turned around….taking slow steps…silently praying for Sho to hug her…..to stop her from coming and to talk things out….but no Sho didn’t, he was afraid that he’ll just be pushed away. He looked at the floor, his anger starter to bite in….

“She’s nothing!” She yelled.

Khaye turned around.

“You are acting stupid! How could you do such a thing or think of some thing about me like that! You are troubling yourself for nothing, you are my world and that’s enough! I’m marrying you and not her!” Sho shouted then slammed the table, making the unsuspecting Khaye jump back. “Don’t be stupid Khaye….”

“I’m not being stupid!”

“Then what are you doing then!”

“You don’t have an idea how much I’ve been through!” Khaye shouted.

“WELL SO AM I! GABRIELLA AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT! IF SHE’S BACK, THEN SO BE IT! SHE’S A PART OF ME..SHE HELPED ME BE THE SHO YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH!” Sho screamed louder, obviously losing his temper.

Khaye felt her mouth open…..she was just too numb to cry…..

“Khaye?” Lyn hurried and opened the door, sensing that two are arguing, she looked at Sho who just continued to stare at Khaye…his hands on his waste….breathing heavily….

“Gomen…..” Khaye said to Lyn…. “I kept you guys waiting let’s go….” She said then pushed Lyn out….leaving Sho behind…..

The time that the cousins entered the car, they notice the little three kids sleeping already….Khaye sitting there, then looking at her hand….bit her lips then with one pull…took the ring off.

Lyn noticed this…took a deep breathe then pulled Khaye’s head to lean against her shoulder….slowly whispering: “It’s ok to cry if you want to…..the kids are sleeping now.”

And with this…Khaye’s tears started to fell…..she couldn’t stop them any longer….

“You guys are over the honeymoon stage even right before you guys are married.” Lyn said…Khaye found her cousins statement funny and slightly chuckled…

“So you got what Jiro was talking about….” Khaye said…wiping her eyes…but tears just kept on falling…

“Baka…I’m not talking about the honeymoon stage literally….you guys are now a real couple…and a being a real couple comes with real problems….It’s not healthy to always walk out on them.” Lyn said….

“Everything was smooth sailing…..before…….” Khaye was about to say Gabriella but she just couldn’t…she doesn’t want her cousin to hate her future husband if ever…

“Jealousy kicks in?” Lyn said.

“Yeah……It’s deadly…it’s eating our relationship fast.” Khaye said….

“It happened to your mom…..and it also happened to me…..” Lyn said, Khaye sat up and again wiped her eyes then silently blew her nose…

“I know…which makes it scarier for me…I…I don’t want to end up like what happened to my parents marriage…and to you…..I want us to stay together…but cheating…..I scared Lyn.” Khaye said…being a product of a continuous line of broken family, gives birth to her paranoia…and add the factor that she’s engaged to one of Japan’s idols…makes it bigger…..now add the mix of Gabriella in it….makes it HUMONGOUS!

“Looking back…..our marriage failed because, I always walked out…..I don’t deal with it straight on….a big mistake….” Lyn said, looking sad and nonchalant…
“Dad cheated on Mom…” Khaye said…

“Because you have to admit, your Mom made you Dad go crazy for her jealousy over nothing….” Lyn said brushing the slightly wet hair her cousin now has….

“Oh shit…” Khaye realized one thing….. “Being too jealous….and walking out on things….” Khaye stopped……

“Huh?” Lyn looked at her…..wondering what she was thinking…

“I’m doing both Lyn…….I’m the one making things worse……I’m the one pushing him away.” Khaye realized…..she turned around and wanted to get off…but too late, they were now on the highway….along side speeding cars…….to her own horror she realizes…she was the one making herself lose Sho.

Sho felt numb sitting on the chair, he then took out his little organizer….checked his work list…and remembered he actually moved everything he planned for next week, wanting to spend this week with Khaye….but in the back of his head…he wonders….everyday that he was so excited to do something with her…it ends up into a disaster….making him question things….

Suddenly his phone rang…he picked it up and answered….

“Moshi-mosh?” Sho said…

“Did I do something wrong to make you drop the phone on me?!?” Gabriella said then started giggling….

Sho gave out a heavy sigh…..closed his eyes….

“What do you want?” Sho said not knowing how he should feel about Gabriella’s phone call…to the point he stared at the crucifix in front of him…wondering if it was God’s will that Gabriella called the moment that he started to wonder if he did the right thing….proposing to his shorty.

“What I want? Ummm…for you to open the door?” Gabriella said…surprising Sho….he stood up and walked towards the front porch, opened the main door and to his surprise, there Gabriella stood with her hair on a ponytail and wearing glasses…..

Sho walked towards Gabriella... “What are you still doing here?” He said but then remembered that he was still on the phone, he quickly turned it off and scratched his head….cleared his throat…. “Ummm what are you doing here?”

This made Gabriella laugh….Sho is such a dork up until now.

“I don’t have anything to do….so I decided to drop by….I also wanna meet whoever your girlfriend right now.” Gabriella said….

“Seriously?” Sho looked at her, not believing a single word she said.

“Fine you caught me, I just wanna see you.” Gabriella said it straight, she held her breathe….wondering how Sho will react….

Sho paused……not knowing what to say…..then saw a familiar bentou…..pointed at it…

“Hahaha…” Gabriella laughed, then lifted the bentou high… “Remember this?”

“Yeah….” Sho said walking towards the gate, opening it now….Sho watches as Gabriella enters…. “That was the bentou we first shared when we met.”

“WAAH! You really have a good memory…..and I also have the first food we ate together…Fish fillet with lemon.” Gabriella said proudly, her smile ear to ear….

“Hahaha! Your mom still cooks it!” Sho closes the gate and walks with Gabriella towards the main door of their house….

“Nope…I was the one who cooked it…by my own hands.” Gabriella said….

The two stood for an odd moment in front of the door….Sho quickly opened the door and guide her in…but before entering, Sho’s phone started vibrating…he took it out and there he saw a message….

From: Khaye_Shorty
sent: 8-24 16:00
[b]Message: Sho, call me ok…I wanna talk.

Sho paused and looked at the message for a few seconds…not knowing what to do with it….

“Whoa you still have this around!!!” Gabriella said inside the living room….she turned around and notice Sho just standing on the porch looking at his phone…. “Sho?”

Sho looks up then saw Gabriella…..he shook his head….

“Are you ok?” Gabriella was about to walk towards him.

“Ahh…gomen, just a message sent from work…..what are you talking about?” Sho went inside eager to know what Gabriella was talking about, and as he enter the door he looked at his phone…

Pressed message options---delete---Delete message from Khaye_Shorty?---Yes.

OH.MY.GOD! WHAT THE?! SHOOOOOO!!!!
