lovecolours, that's right. i used to read the translations of Aiba's radio show on ayuchan.vox.. (so credits to her for them!) here's a bit of the translation from the show, Aiba telling about the reason..
"He didn't suffer from any chronic disease. And I was told that it was a sudden cardiac disease."
but lately there has been other people talking in Aiba's show too right? maybe staff members or something?
I was so shock when I heard of the news. I think it was either the previous or the one before the previous radio show before Otsuka passed away, that Aiba asked (to confirm that) Otsuka was going to turn 30 soon.
And then on the next rekomen, he had passed away. He was so young!!
When I hear his radio show recently, there is a new person (who took over the job of Otsuka) talking to aiba. It'll be kind of hard for aiba to continue on his own too without somebody to talk to.
Eh? My first post? I guess I've been lurking too much...XD
Anyway, I thought it was so sad when Aiba had to announce Otsuka-kun's death. What made it bittersweet was that Aiba played Hello Goodbye after announcing it. I'm not sure if he dedicated it for him, but I get the feeling he did.
And now when I watch the fancam of Hello Goodbye, Aiba always looks like he is really sad or crying during one part of the song, and I'm almost positive he is thinking of Otsuka-kun. It breaks my heart!
Uwaaa, it makes me so sad. But I'm glad Aiba has Arashi there to back him up and support him all the way.
i agree! i want to see him acting more. sure he is busy with all the four tv shows he has now.. + his radio show. but it would be interesting to see him in a leading role for some drama. i think fans are waiting something new from him. especially after Ohno starred in Maou and Jun has his movies and Sho has his Olympics + Yatterman and Nino has a new drama..
Yes, I believe he's quite a good actor and should be doing
more acting job! Unfortunately for us who don't live in Japan
there's hardly any chances to see him on stage...
THAT IS WHY! he should be involved more in dramas rather
than variety shows. Of course he's cute an funny and I really
appreciate what he does in variety shows, BUT I want to see
him more in dramas so that I can buy DVDs afterwards to
watch on and on and on....
