I fail at knowing how to make mp3 ringtones for my phone, but I can suggest a website that will do it for you. At Mobile 17 (http://mobile17.com/) you can create a free account that remembers your phone information. Then you just upload mp3/mp4/wav/etc. files from you computer and it sends it to your phone in one of several ways. (Text message, internet, computer-to-phone direct link up, etc.) You have to know exactly what portion of the song you want to be the ringtone and it will clip that section for you, but it can be as long or as short as you want. Also Mobile 17 works with many phone companies all over the world, so the chances of finding your provider and phone model are high.
If anyone is still interested in some ringtones check out:

It's a livejournal community where fan-edited ringtones may be posted. By clicking on the 'Arashi' tab you can pretty much the arashi ringtones and most of them are excellent. (And, of course, there are other artists too.)
thank you guys for uploading these ringtones. CHESTO and arashimessage are my favorite ringtones. and riidasaikou, thanks for the anoarashi ringtone, I've been really looking for one. anyway, if it's ok, can I request an anoarashi ringtone with just aiba saying a no arashi
here's a very very short one. it's from the One Love album's Bonus Doumyoji Script. I've ripped the part where jun says "aishiteru" . Hope everyone likes it.

Basically what I did was get my radio and recorded the songs from my phone and used them as rings they don't always come out right the first time and it takes some time but it's worth I have all my fav songs on my phone and it sounds like ring times (hope it helped)
i've actually been making my own custom mp3 ringtones w/ iTunes (if you have it, i can let you know what i do!)... w/ the help of curiosity & experimenting... (although... i have no idea if there's any sort of legality around it, which is why i don't share what i make! *bites tongue* mods, feel free to delete this post if it's horribly unnecessary >_<)
i have a Mac, btw... but it should be the same for PCs.
- bring up iTunes on your computer...
- pick a song of your choice, then right-click for Get Info... then pick the Options tab...
- you should be able to pick a start/stop point for the desired part of the song you want (minutes:seconds:milliseconds).

- click OK each time to replay the song and keep adjusting the time frame until it's at the point of your liking. my phone likes ringtones that are less than 30 seconds long.
- when it's at the desired section, right-click the file for Convert Selection to MP3
voila! make sure the new tiny .mp3 file doesnt have any album covers attached or your file will be too huge to use as a ringtone on your phone.
now locate and upload that baby and enjoy as i have ^-^
mind you that this method only works for one chunk of the song as opposed to gathering bits of a song into one file. i have no idea how to make custom ringtones through official iTunes support. haha.
