i think cause maybe the way they do things are either too similar or too different and so there is no element of surprise and entertainment in that pairing.
so that's why they don't get paired up so often.
but i know that sho is the one who called jun matsujun (ohno does that all the time as well) more often than the rest!
funny i never noticed abt this before, i only noticed that jun and nino don't get paired.
but i think they are all good friends in private Heart

It's just that maybe, because we're too busy looking at other pairings (*ehem* Sakuraiba and Juntoshi are canon in love

) that we may think that they don't get along.

It's this thread fault that I'm looking at Sho/Jun interactions nowadays...and I see them a lot (Ans among others wink

they're interacting more and more these days and when Sho hurt his thumb he said that "Jun's so nice.... he cooked for me [when they went to eat yakiniku]"
and Jun ACTUALLY feed Sho on Shukudaikun -- the spicy choco-cake ep with Edo-san
AND last Shukudaikun Sho called Jun "MATCHAN" Heart

no one EVER ventures calling Jun anything pass Jun-chan

true. out of everyone in arashi it seems like jun & sho are the least close (should I say comfortable) with each other? i get also the feeling that its because those two have the "strongest" personalities that they have a tendency to "clash"? but no doubt they are friends - in a manly i respect you tone.

and yes, jun seems to be really formal/cordial around sho most of the time.

I agree w/ Junbait. Sho & Jun are are interacting w/ eachother more & more these days. They may not be all rabu rabu like the way they are w/ the other members. But I did notice that they sit/stand next to eachother a little more, Jun scolds Sho in one of the AnS episodes w/ that guest who played Jun's gf in Kimi Wa Petto, Jun fed Sho when Sho had a broken thumb. It's very touching to see that those 2 really do get along, & I hope they continue to show their close-ness more & more from now on. Hug

even though i'm a new Arashi's fan but i noticed that Sakumoto got paired the least.. i didn't know that Matsu Jun used to idolized Sho-chan when they were Jrs.. but i can't believe that the reason why they aren't as close as they used to be is becoz of Sho's jealousy.. even though Matsu Jun has always been the most popular Arashi member lately.. i think the reason why the 2 of them doesn't teach each other that much is becoz they really understand each other.. i agree that the 2 of them have a lot of similarities.. both of them have serious sides more than the other 3.. and they both are a bit short-tempered unsure

the difference is that Sho-chan can change his mood quite fast..

i have to disagree with the people said that Sho-chan doesn't tease Matsu Jun a lot becoz Sho-chan's a bit afraid of his DoS.. coz i watched a clip of Utaban's cut in YT in which Sho-chan was really mad at Matsu Jun for calling him at 4 AM.. Sho-chan was really tired becoz of KCE's filming and concert rehearsals.. Matsu Jun seemed really uncomfortable and said sorry repeatedly.. i think Matsu Jun still have respects for Sho-chan smile

I wish I could see Jun and Sho together more because they look alike, kind of like brothers. When I first saw Arashi, I accidentally thought Sho was Matsujun. Maybe we never see the two together because Jun and Sho are both the masculine, hot, sexy type and so there needs to be a balance of sexy and cute as well as masculine and feminine in the pairings. In general, I think all Arashi members are pretty close though.

in case of Ohmiya.. even though both of them have extreme funny side.. both somehow i feel that Nino is actually a really cool and cold-headed person smile

MatsuMiya - good point. Maybe not sexy and cute, but more masculine and feminine. I guess Ohmiya works because Ohno is the guy and Nino is the girl. Whereas Matsujun is the guy and Sho is also the guy so if Sakumoto were paired it would be kind of weird. I hope that makes sense.

phew.. lots of opinions and ideas about jun and sho..

im new to the fandom and its great that i actually learned a lot reading 7 pages about their relationship..
like what other says, they only have praises to say about each other..
i actually think they have a good relationship whether or not they have much rabu compared to sakuraiba and ohmiya..

i think jun is just not the touchy or the showy type ne.. i think he has his own ways of showing his love to other members (like how nino says that there are some people who are gentle but with jun, he has both gentleness and warmth Heart

) and he expresses his love not just on touching and hugging kind of way.. (but then again i don't know much about them yet)
