Hi all
Why is it that during the mago mago arashi or the bangohan arashi, there's very rare the pairing of Sho and Jun?
And I also realise they very seldom talk about each other in interviews, if they do, it's normally very cordial stuffs.. it's unlike the closeness between the other members.
They also seldom have affectionate shots together.. rarely do you see them standing next to each otheror putting their arms around each other like you see so often with all the other members.
There is no Sho+Jun love?
Did Chibi Jun really adore Sho? There's a video on youtube with his confession but I don't know how long ago or whether it's staged?

In the recent Shukudai-kun there was a lot of ShoxJun, it was really cute XD
But, it seemed like an awkward atmosphere when they would like, touch (sounds preverted) XD But, yeah like Jun clapped Sho on the should after Sho was in the tank of plaster, and Sho just kind of, looked away, like, to laugh a little but, it I don't know, it looked like an awkward situation.
I'm sure they are the best of friends though XD

I think they're all generally fine with each other but like.....Jun and Ohno for instance. I wasn't there when Arashi started or anything, but if my mind serves me right, they weren't nearly as close as they are now.
Sho and Jun probably have some differences? Heck, everyone in that group must...honestly, I can see those two sitting down and having more serious talks about...whatever than being all goofy with each other. So maybe that's why- they just aren't acting like they act with other members but they have their own level of friendship.
that's also my question...but i guess you can't avoid not to be close despite of the differences considering that they've been working together as a group for almost ten years now...also, i've read that jun admires sho before when they were juniors...remember he got sho as his tutor before...perhaps the producers were just a little bit doubtful(?) about the pair up of jun and sho in shows because of too much similarities(?) i'm not sure about this though...it just dawned on me that i kinda find jun and sho the most similar compared to other members but i'm not really sure why...come to think of, sho would be my ichiban whereas jun would be the last or second to the last in my list (no offense)...

I think I can see where you're coming from about Sho and Jun being similar and stuff - funny, because I never noticed it until you now mentioned it. I can't believe I'm actually admitting to them being similar, because like you too, Sho's totally my ultimate and Jun, well, (no offence to anyone) isn't at the top of my list either. But you're right, maybe producers don't think they should work as much together as with other pairings due to their similarities. But they do have significant differences and uniqueness that make them who they are.
Well, about them being close or not, though we don't really see much of it, there must be some degree of closeness that we don't know about. But I must agree, the thought that they both don't really click as well as with others did cross my mind many times before this, whenever I see their performances and programmes. But we still love them no matter what, and they are really close (all 5 of them) compared to other JE groups, so kudos to all of them for being able to hold close despite their differences.

Yeah! I also wonder why these 2 hardly show their closeness. But I do enjoy seeing their kawaii moments when they do. I also guess they both don't show their closeness because they are similar in the fact they are leader-like, hence to why they are not always paired up w/ eachother in MMA or Bangohan. Despite all of this, I'm sure they (all 5 of them) are close to eachother in real life. If they weren't so close then non of us would them so much.
Well Sho-kun used to me Matsumoto-kuns private tutor.. at least I heard so.. and Sho-kun are the one who sings about Matsumoto on the La tormenta song..
But I guess they are the "most serious" in arashi.. in personality and therefore their relationship is like that too..
Sho used to be Jun's idol back in their junior days. When Jun was contemplating on whether to attend high school or not, it was Sho who advised that Jun should at least finish high school. Jun used to be cute (in personality), befitting of the youngest member of the group, until he decided to "change" his style after playing Sawada Shin on "Gokusen." I think it took a while for the other members to get used to this "new" Jun - they talk about it in the song Nino wrote for Jun's 20th birthday. I think as Jun became more mature, serious, and "cool," it coincided with the time when Sho and Jun stopped being so friendly together. In a way, Jun sort of became what he admired about Sho - mature and serious (which the other three members sometimes lack) - I think. I'm sure those two are still close, but they just express that in a more ..'professional' way. Ohno himself stated that the group as a whole is just wayyyyy too touchy feely and he wishes no other group would become like them (because it's not normal).

so funny...even if they're too touchy, i love them and learned to accept it...in fact i admire them for that...
as for matsujun and sho, i just realized that like what everyone is saying, maybe both of them are the most serious members in arashi (or maybe the most baka, who knows)...also it could be that because out of admiration that's why there is not much joking around between the two in their shows but i guess in real life who knows... they also appear to be stronger (does not show their feelings) compared to other members so that's why they are not showy with their feelings to each other but then it maybe different in private...
i love them all, their uniqueness, their strengths, their weaknesses...

hahaha wow never though of that. well hmm My opinion is that because Sho and Matsujun are sort of the two of the mature image. I guess they dont fool around much with each other? Like aiba chan is always foolin around so as rida and sometimes nino. But recently they just played around with each other in arashi no shukudai kun where sho was like trying to move while standing on top of towels haha that was funny. But i doubt theres any hatred going on between arashi. after all they take showe together all the times regardless the number of showertub they're given xD
Yes I saw some Jun/Sho love during the recent Shukudai episode with the plaster and was so happy!
If you watch their variety shows from the beginning till now, you do see the obvious transformation of their relationship. From being funny to more of a serious one. I think the person who changed the most is Jun cos he's no more querky and always being the one who's "bullied" by the rest. It's like sometimes it looks like he's the eldest of the group and takes charge of the group during performances.. and Sho is afraid of making him angry?
But if Jun wanted serious good advice, I think he will go to Sho. He's mentioned that in an interview before. Anyhow becos their lovey lovey scenes are rare, it makes me ultra happy when I see one!
just for those who wanted to see, i saw a fanvid about jun and sho in youtube...it's in the 'be with you' fanvid (i think) that i saw the two of them hold hands in a concert...
sorry i got excited, it just that i don't think i'll see them hold hands...
love them both especially that i think matsujun is replacing ohno as my ni-ban hmmm...i wonder...

some time ago I read something about jun-sho relationship!! just voices going around, nothing official, or proved to be true.
Anyhow, I read that, as already said, at the beginning jun admired sho very much, he was his idol. And you know, chibi jun was not such a beautiful guy, moreover he was still a kid!! but when jun started to grow up and become more and more beautiful, they say that sho became like jealous of him! jun was no more the little boy admiring him, but it was like a new rival. Hence he started treating him bad, like ignoring him even in public, not letting him talk during concerts' MCs and so on.
Now, I don't know if it's true or not, probably it isn't. But if you pay attention you can see that between 2002 and 2004 jun and sho seem not to even talk to each other, while before and after they seem to go on pretty well together, especially recently!!!
For sure, as you said, they're the most serious and don't easily show they're feelings like Aiba or Oh-chan. Probably that's the reason why they don't seem to be very close to each other, ne ^___^
My answer for them not touching is : Because there's another member who's invisible and like to be between those two! *gets shot death*
Just kidding.
Sho/Jun is my favourite Arashi pairing, I know it weird, because they rarely have any interaction so I like watching them. I've become their watcher long ago LOL
This is my very own opinion (and me thinking to deep about my favourite pairing LOL). I know I'm going to rant. And it's full of fangirl imagination so I'm sorry if I sound a bit (or a lot) too crazy ^^;;;;
As what Jun had said in recent Shounen Club Special, Arashi members found their own places in 2002, 2 (well, almost 3) years after the debut.
Like everyone knows, Sho used to be Jun's idol in the past day, and Jun claimed himself to be Sho's *No1 fan* So I think, when they didn't know where to be in the group, they just stick with who they think would be able to just be with them, like for Nino it's Aiba-chan, and for Jun it's Sho.
Sho was known to be very offensive to his fans in those days (say, the umbrella story XD) and Jun was someone quite close to him, not just a fan but also a bandmate, so it might have been that Sho just didn't know how to act around Jun.
I'm a new fan so it might sound weird cause I'm saying this thing from what I've watched them doing. Jun said the group bacame in place in 2002. The funny thing is, that's when we could noticed Jun started edging away from Sho. I think he realized that his place in the group is not being someone's fan, but being himself. Sho might have noticed this too, so he didn't bother try to be around Jun.
But after some years of being awkward around Sho (I personally think Sho didn't mind that much, so he felt a lot less awkward with Jun.) Jun tried to shorten the gap, which he himself had created, between them. He tried to comment back on Sho's more often, tried to get into those teasing the other members did to Sho, etc. as you can see that recently they have more interaction (which makes me a happy fangirl LOL)
These days I think Jun is still uncomfortable with Sho, and Sho is sometimes awkward around him but they are a lot better than in the past. I like watching them standing side by side, cause they would have this special ability to manage that without touching the other AT ALL, not even their sleeves. And somtimes Jun would edge away too much he almost blocked someone on his other side form view. >D
In the interviews you can see that they barely talked about each other, or Jun trying to give the shortest answer when it comes to Sho, and their comments or answers will always have nothing new about them that we don't know, like they don't know each other well enough.
But what I believe is true is that, they're both the serious (and sane) parts of the group, so they don't fool around each other like the others do or they do with the other members. Still I wonder why they're uncomfortable around each other though.
Well, that is my view and........That's................ long O_______O''
Sorry for my craziness, I love how Arashi is their family and they just love each other XD
