Q. The 5 domes tour, you finally overcame it. What are Oochan thoughts?
A. The first is that it ended so fast. But this time it was pretty empty between one show and another, so everytime it was refreshing. We already did it in Tokyo and Osaka, but as this time was our first dome tour there were also places we've never been in. And then Sho got injured. A lot of things happened. It was really fun and full of emotions, but at the end of the last show in Sapporo I felt like: "What? Is it already finished?".
Q. I think that making a stage which gather so many people in each city and gives them excitement is wonderful.
A. But we don't realize the whole concerts all by ourselves, the 5 of us. There are things like the basis created by Arashi and our staff, and then enter the audience, from there we're going to give everything a form together, there's a feeling like this.
Q. So, you're saying that when you are on the stage there is an "exchange of energies with the audience".
A. Yes, I said so (laugh). Because a concert is a feast. Something like: "Let's go sweating together!". It's one only space. But honestly, when the tour came to its end it doesn't gave the feeling of being ended. It seemed more like a rest. Because immediately after this there'll be "AROUND ASIA". We don't have to go beyond our limit.
Q. This time your individual work "FREESTYLE" went around the cities too. Which means that we can say it was a new challenge for Oochan.
A. Isn't it wonderful? It was like: "Can I really do it!?" (laugh). At first thinking it would be only Tokyo, I talked with the staff saying it would be great to take it around other places. And they gathered saying: "When the opening day will end, let's go drink!", but there wasn't a lot of time, we can't did it (laugh). But all the places I went to see it in were great. I didn't think so many people would have come to see it, I'm happy.
Q. Would you like to do it again if you'll have another chance?
A. Oh no, because from the start I thought this would have been the last time. It has always been merely a hobby for me. Even if I realized that sometimes, during my work as an idol, when they ask me something about me and I say I do this kind of things they always say they want to see them. Moreover, I think this time you all were able to see everything inside of me.
Q. As an Arashi member, which vision do you have of what will come next? Now you surely feel great and greatness.
A. People around us always say that, but we only did things normally. And it's going to be the same from now on. So I suppose the question will be "On the other hand, what's going to change?". But more than saying "I want to do this or that" I want to do things naturally, as we did till now.
Although I wish Oh-chan would keep putting out his art, I can understand how difficult it must be to set up an exhibit like that. And I'm happy we got to see so much of his art and see a different side of him. Who knows, few years down the road he could change his mind. Thank you for translating!

i like ohno in this interview, he gave serious and meaningful answers but he still has his sense of humor, "Let's go sweating together!" haha!
and so true to himself.. yeah, doing it naturally is still the best!
also, it's kinda unusual to hear someone say that he wouldn't do a successful art exhibit again. but now we know that it's just really a hobby and we wouldn't want to take away the fun part of it from Ohno chan, would we? though I still wish to see more of it sometime
here, we saw again what we like best about ohno chan (and the rest of Arashi for that matter) so true, doesn't care much about what people say..
arigatou for translations
some grammar mistakes there but all good thanks!
Honestly ohno is so talented, as a strong vocalist, nimble dancer, amazing choreographer, extraordinary actor (both on stage and tv) and of coarse amazing artist. Yet despite all these talents, he is so humble, down-to-earth and honest it shows through in interviews, variety shows etc. And he doesnt seem to care what people think which is a lot easier said than done.. admiration to the max

Thank you so much for the translations. I always reading Ohno's answers to interview questions. Since he's the most quiet & spaced out member, it's always nice to read what's in his mind & all.
thanks for this..wow..i'm glad that they talked about his freestyle..coz i really want to know what was his feeling after showing to the public his art works..he really cared so much for his works..for him they're all priceless..
with regards to being an idol, he's really serious with his career, and im glad that he's being true to himself and to his fans..the best part of entertaining people and making them happy is by doing it naturally like what he does..
it's good to know that he's not afraid to show who he really is, and that's the reason why we love riida and the rest of arashi.
